Garden Ministry

The Garden Ministry helps to keep the grounds looking amazing throughout the year.  






The Saint John Neumann Green Thumb Ministry was established in January 2013. Our mission is to beautify God's house at SJN by tending to the gardens both inside and outside the church.







The majority of our work occurs in the spring to clean up the various gardens and plant annuals for the spring and summer. A few weeks after Easter the Ministry plants the various flowers that decorated the church for Easter.




During the summer we water the outdoor plants, Community Garden, and weed the gardens when necessary. In the late fall we try to cut back the plants and bushes to get ready for winter.
We have a core group of volunteers, along with youth from the parish. The Boys Scouts have volunteered for the past two years when we needed a large crew of eager workers!
